Traffic police on Saturday morning closed the Vibhavadi Rangsit road from Lat Phrao intersection to Sutthisan intersection due to high floodwater level, Pol Maj Gen Worasak Nopsitthiporn, deputy metropolitan police commander responsible for traffic, said.
Pol Maj Gen Worasak said the floodwater also inundated Ratchadapisek road in frot of Chao Phraya Park hotel.
The water was reported at 50 centimetre deep and police had to closed the road from Sutthisan intersection to Ratchadapisek-Lat Phrao intersection, he added.
It was lately reported that police also closed Lat Phrao road from Lat Phrao intersection to Soi Phavana because that part of the road was now under 80 centimetre deep water, impassable for small vehicles.
