The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is investing 455 million baht to enhance and continue the city's bus service, specifically the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

With the current concession held by the Bangkok Mass Transit System Plc (BTSC) set to expire soon, the BMA plans to increase the frequency of bus stops, procure additional buses, and introduce smaller, electricity-powered buses.

The BMA aims to improve commuter convenience, address operational gaps, and tackle issues like encroachments by private vehicles. This funding boost will support the hiring of a new operator and the maintenance of the BRT system, ensuring continued service for the thousands of daily passengers in Bangkok.
