Nation to bid farewell to Supreme Patriarch Crown Prince to preside over cremation rites
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to bid a final farewell to the late Supreme Patriarch Wednesday at a royally sponsored cremation ceremony.
His Holiness's body will be moved on a royal chariot in a procession from Wat Bowon Niwet Vihara to Wat Debsirindrawas where his cremation will be held.

Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets to pay final respect to Thailand's late Supreme Patriarch, Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Somdet Phra Sangharaja, on Wednesday.
The royally sponsored cremation ceremony will take place at Wat Debsirindrawas, Bangkok, on Wednesday afternoon. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will preside over the ceremony on behalf of His Majesty the King.
His Holiness Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Somdet Phra Sangharaja died on Oct 24, 2013, at Chulalongkorn Hospital. He was 100 years old. -

The nation today joined together to give a send-off to the late Supreme Patriarch as the funeral procession started to move out from Wat Bovoranives to Wat Debsirindravas while thousands of Thai Buddhists dressed in black and white gathered on both sides of the roads to pay respects to the kingdom’s 19th supreme patriarch of Thailand.
