Killing dogs for food is the hidden cruelty in Thailand. The vast majority of people in Thailand do not eat dog and regard it as cruel and repulsive. But the minority is large enough to demand a regular, organised trade that probably takes many times the number of dogs caught up in the notorious smuggling trade to Vietnam.
